Department of Biochemistry
The Department of Biochemistry focuses on understanding cellular functions at the molecular level, emphasizing homeostasis and diagnostic applications. It integrates Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) with innovative teaching methods such as Self-Directed Learning (SDL), Small Group Discussions (SGD), and DOAP sessions.
Undergraduate students learn biochemical principles, while postgraduate students receive advanced training in clinical laboratory techniques, teaching, and research. The department actively engages in research projects, including ICMR-STS programs, and supports thesis work for postgraduate students.
