The Department of Dentistry at Government Medical College, Gadchiroli, was established in 2024 with the goal of providing excellence in dental education, research, and patient care. The department is dedicated to the evaluation, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases and disorders affecting the oral cavity, maxillofacial region, and related structures, ensuring comprehensive dental healthcare.

Dentistry plays a crucial role in overall health, and our department integrates modern diagnostic tools such as digital radiography, AI-assisted dental care, and CAD/CAM technology to enhance treatment outcomes. We are also focused on interdisciplinary learning, collaborating with other medical specialties to provide holistic patient care.

In addition to clinical services, the department is actively involved in oral health awareness programs, organizing free dental camps, school health initiatives, and outreach activities in rural and underserved communities. Under the ORAL HEALTH MISSION, governed by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Mumbai, we conduct regular screenings, counseling, and educational programs to promote oral hygiene and prevent dental diseases.

Looking ahead, the department aims to establish a state-of-the-art maxillofacial rehabilitation center and introduce certificate courses affiliated with MUHS, Nashik, to enhance specialized dental training. With a commitment to innovation, research, and patient-centered care, the Department of Dentistry continues to strive for excellence in dental healthcare.
