Department of Obstetrics

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Government Medical College, Gadchiroli, has adapted to the rapid advancements in the field of medicine. The department boasts a state-of-the-art setup with highly specialized expertise in patient management. In addition to providing cutting-edge patient care, the department maintains high standards in research and is committed to training young doctors to become experts in obstetrics and gynecology.

The department currently has 100 beds, two well-equipped operation theatres, a two-bedded high dependency unit, a modern labor room, and separate wards for obstetrics and gynecology. The facilities and services provided include colposcopy, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, cardiotocography, and ultrasonography with a TVS probe.

The department offers comprehensive care, including antenatal and postnatal care for both normal and high-risk pregnancies, major and minor obstetric and gynecological surgeries, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures, oncology screening and management, infertility management, and family planning services. These services aim to provide excellent patient care while also fostering an environment for medical education and training.
