The Department of Microbiology at Government Medical College, Gadchiroli is dedicated to providing comprehensive education in the study of microorganisms and their role in health and disease. Microbiology is essential for understanding infectious diseases, their diagnosis, prevention, and treatment.

The department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories including Bacteriology Lab, Mycology Lab, Parasitology Lab, Virology Lab, and Serology Lab. Students are provided with hands-on training in culture techniques, staining methods, antibiotic sensitivity testing, and laboratory diagnosis of infectious diseases.
